Tomorrow my son’s body will be laid to rest, but he’s not there. He has been absent from that body since his heart quit just over a week ago. I miss him terribly, but knowing where he is, I rejoice. God did not take my son from me too soon. He died because we all die. We are suffering the results of Eve’s failure to obey God in the garden. God warned them not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. He told them that if they did, they would surely die. Since that time death has reigned, until One man arrived. That man was Jesus Christ the Son of God. Born of a virgin, apart from sin. He took upon himself the sin of the whole world, being sinless himself. He gave us His blessing and took our punishment. All we have to do is receive Him as our savior. My son received Jesus as his savior. Jesus didn’t take him too early, but when death came to call, Jesus was there to take him in His arms and carry him home. Because of what Jesus did on the cross and in His resurrection, we too will rise from the dead. My separation from my son is only temporary. What a wonderful Savior we have. There is no one like Him. Now my son is where he can see Him face to face. Some day I will be too! Hallelujah!
