It is such an exciting time to be alive. We can look at what is going on in the world around us and see the prophecies of Jesus coming true before us. There is no doubt we are in the days of the birth pangs. With increasing intensity and frequency we are hearing of earthquakes, weather disasters, pandemics, and even famines. We have come to the place where we have to realize something has changed.

We are not in the tribulation. The tribulation will be a time such as has never been before, and will never be again. What we are seeing now is just a tremendous increase in the number of catastrophic events. Things are happening one after another, and sometimes on top of each other. All this should warn us of what is about to come. Now is the time to preach the gospel as never before.

No one knows the day or the hour of the Lord’s return, but the Bible clearly states that we will know the season. Just like the labor pains of a woman with child, the pains come closer and closer and with more and more intensity. Isn’t that what we are seeing?

This is not to cause fear for those who have received Jesus as their savior. There is great joy in knowing He will return, and we will receive bodies that are indestructible. Bodies that are not subject to sickness or death. Bodies that are immortal so that we can live for eternity with our Savior.

But there are many who have not come to the saving knowledge of Jesus. Without Him, they will have a most dreadful eternity, not only so but they are full of fear now as they see the things coming on the earth. Jesus loves us so much that He died to fulfill the requirement for judgement on our sinful condition. He took our punishment, but because He was sinless, death could not hold Him! He walked out of death in resurrection. We reap the benefit of His resurrection. He took our punishment, we receive the blessing He was due. What a precious gift He has given us!

This is not a time to be fearful, but to spread the good news to those around us. There is hope! Jesus died for us that we can live for eternity with Him. All it takes is an honest heart towards God, confessing your sinful condition, and need of being saved from judgement. Confess belief that Jesus is the Son of God who died for us and rose from the dead; and that He is alive today at the Father’s right hand.

Jesus will come into your heart and make home with you by His Spirit. We are able to grow in relationship with Him through prayer and reading His Word. Jesus is looking for those who believe, not for those who are perfect!

So don’t be afraid! Spread the Word, develop a close relationship with Jesus and help others to do the same. Then you are ready! There is nothing to fear. Time is short. Before we know it, we will stand before Him!
