To become skilled at anything it takes time. Learning the finer touches that make your athletic, artistic, or musical talent stand out, requires practice, and a lot of it.  When someone who has spent their life practicing a musical instrument or a particular sport, displays their talent it can be awesome to watch.

Every area of life is like that.  We never have it all figured out from the get go.  Sometimes we give up before we ever learn life’s lessons.  This only causes us to have to start over, and more than likely, get hung up at the same place the next time around.  That cycle can just go on repeating, resulting in discouragement or depression for everyone involved.

But God never intended for us to make it on our own.  That is why He sent His Son to save us; His Holy Spirit to live in us.  He wants us to depend on Him. He has given us His promise, “I will never leave you, and I will never abandon you.” ( Hebrew 13:5)  But it is like everything else, it takes practice to fully understand walking with God.  The more you rely on Him and find Him faithful, the more you learn that He will always be so.  He will not treat us like spoiled children, and give us our every whim, because He loves us too much to do that.  When necessary He will discipline us.  No one likes discipline, but it sure is evident when someone is reared without it.  Hebrews 12:11 says, “We don’t enjoy being disciplined.  It always seems to cause more pain than joy.  But later on, those who learn from that discipline have peace that comes from doing what is right.” When a person has been brought up with discipline it is very evident in their life.  Our Father loves us so much, He treats us as sons, and He disciplines us for our own good, always for our good.

“I have been young, and now I am old, but I have never seen a righteous person abandoned or is descendants begging for food,”  Psalms 37:25.

God is so good, but to know Him takes spending time with Him.  It takes believing in Him, that He is trustworthy, no matter what.  God has made each one of us with a unique ability to know Him.  No one else can have your place in the Father’s heart.  You are uniquely you, and  like a fine instrument, you and God can make beautiful music together.  Don’t give up on Him.  Every morning come to Him again.  He Knows what is best for you.  He knows how to fine tune you so that what is heard will be the amazing music that only you and He can make together.

Then, at the end of your journey you will look back on your life with joy.  Oh sure, you will have had hard times, but you will have proven that God is Faithful.  And your life will be full of peace.   And that my friend, is beautiful music.
